'The Journey'

This large painting is rich with subtle color, and at first glance, devoid of any notable images. Then, you spy the  bright white innocence of a child's face on the right, blue eyes looking towards the left, it's pallor in stark contrast to the surrounding collage of colors and textures. He almost looks as if he is wearing a black rain slicker, or perhaps he has burst through the watercolor paper and is peeking through.

I named this 'The Journey' because it reminds me of 'us' in all our innocence, arriving in the middle of this seeming chaos like bewildered children. Yet in this very spot is where we all begin our journey of remembering who we really are, and why we are here. I hope you enjoy.
