'Distant Shore' shows what appears to be a small boy wrapped in a blue blanket, peering over his shoulder into the Great Beyond.

There is something haunting and deep in it's simplicity.  He seems to be watching the approach of something, or at least, waiting in anticipation.

I think we are all this little boy, waiting expectantly for the ability to cross.
