Is not the preamble to a mournful goodbye

But rather a gentle shaking of your shoulders

A whisper in your ear

To unlock that which you have locked away.

“Do this in remembrance”

Perhaps not a request to not be forgotten

But rather, encouragement

 given to an amnesia victim

to remember
what they know.
